Was like one of the biggest Naval Battles ever in history. Not a single weapon was used in that naval battle. One side had a bunch of ship pretend to defect, while in actuality they were fire ships (aka ships with no crew rigged to blow up) which then slammed into the enemy and destroyed their entire fleet. If you actually look up how the Battle of Red Cliffs actually went down, you would realize why naval combat in 3k is a terrible idea. CA always changes their stance regarding the reason why they don't include them anymore which was very funny with Troy especially since it was that there is "no historical record" which is just super funny since its a game based on a Myth, lol. Take place fully in land so naval battles there would make no senseĪnd before you come with "yeah there weren't that many naval battles", or "they weren't important for that era", you could basically make the exact same argument for Shogun 2 since there was a miniscule amount of Naval Warfare during all 3 periods the game is set in yet we got 3 different Naval unit rosters in the game. River Warfare was a super important part of the Three Kingdoms especially in the later half and was one of the reasons why Wu survived that long. The most famous battle in 3 Kingdoms was the Battle of Red Cliffs which was like one of the biggest Naval Battles ever in history.
